GP Diamond 2.0 Platform Enhancement - Singapore

Developed an enhanced application platform for a supply chain solutions provider. This new platform, Diamond 2.0, builds upon the original Diamond 1.0 app with significant improvements and new capabilities.

As a data engineer, developed data transformation functions for Diamond 2.0 using DBT (Data Build Tool) and Synapse dedicated SQL pool (SQL DWH) to replace .NET functions and its on-premise relational database. Leveraged multi-parallel analytics workflows in DBT to replace traditional, cursor-based T-SQL stored procedures, resulting in a 72% performance improvement in ETL time while achieving more accurate results. As a SQL Performance Tuning engineer, identified and remediated application design flaws that hindered query execution, thereby enhancing the performance of stored procedures called from front-end APIs. Created and documented dynamic stored procedures for data reconciliation tests across more than 50 reporting tables.

Azure Cloud Transition Project - UAE

This comprehensive project aimed to assist the client in transitioning their business systems and reporting functions to the Azure cloud platform.

Data Migration: As a Data Engineer, migrated the data from the Client's business systems, including Salesforce CRM, Oracle Fusion ERP, Call Center, and SharePoint, to Azure SQL Data Warehouse (Synapse). Report Migration: As a BI Engineer, created functional and management reports using T-SQL in Synapse for the Finance, HR, and Supply Chain departments.

Developed and deployed Power BI reports integrating with Client's Power Apps Dataverse using Power Automate trigger flows and Power BI Dataflows. Worked closely with Client's stakeholders to develop complex DAX measures to provide insight into operations.

MoMo e-Wallet

This is a networking application developed by Starhub Company with a primary focus on managing users' data and financial transactions securely.

Developed reports to analyze user and merchant transaction data, identifying abnormal trends using Google BigQuery. Oversaw periodic user classification reports based on user identities, transactions, and performance metrics using Google Data Studio. Conducted risk assessment and consultancy for company-wide projects including existing and upcoming products and microservices. Identified potential system control weaknesses that could have adverse consequences to the business such as promotion abuse and service disruptions. Gathered input from stakeholders across business units to define AI-driven policies to orchestrate day-to-day operations. Proposed in-depth risk management policies to counter inappropriate user behaviors on MoMo apps. Updated and monitored control measures to increase the coverage rate of the Risk Engine with low impact on normal users. Achieved a 65% reduction in fraud and inappropriate behavior rates.

Fraud Risk Assessment and Dashboard Optimization for Car Manufacturer

This project involved performing fraud risk assessments at the local branches of a prominent car manufacturer. An automated dashboard solution was developed to enhance the efficiency of progress reporting, aiming to significantly reduce report refresh times and improve the overall update process.

Conducted fraud risk assessment projects for the local branches of a leading car manufacturer in the world. Successfully developed dashboard solutions for automated progress reports using Azure SQL Database combined with Power BI. Achieved an 88% reduction in refresh time, decreasing it from 40 minutes to 5 minutes. Saved two hours per day in the update process compared to the previous method.

This project involved a comprehensive evaluation of a leading dairy firm's current Enterprise Risk Management system in Vietnam. It included proposing and assessing the readiness of a new ERM system known as Archer GRC.

Performed enterprise risk assessment for a leading dairy company in Vietnam. Produced a 40-page report detailing the current state assessments of the existing ERM initiatives. Consulted on the integration of the new ERM system (Archer GRC). Conducted a readiness assessment for the new ERM system. Incorporated findings into the client's ERM strategy, projected to save $1.0 million over the next 5 years.
