IntelliVU is the Content Service Management (CSM) Framework for VU's suite of software solutions. It is meant to facilitate a unified end-to-end view of the content service lifecycle and provide rights managed views for our customers and internal operations personnel. Vubiquity has several disparate systems all containing source data that are candidates for search material. There are several candidates for search functionality within Vubiquity systems. There is no existing true search system currently implemented and any existing search functionality is done using database queries only and is limited in scope and source. It is recommended that a search engine and related architecture be deployed to provide search functionality across a variety of data sources and data entities. Of particular interest is search functionality across Vubiquity's asset, media catalog(s), order and metadata tracking, which have, potentially, multiple sources of record. A new search API is recommended to allow for any existing front-end GUI or new front-end GUI, to leverage the search capabilities of the new search subsystem.
