DIRECTV, also known as DTV, is an American direct broadcast satellite service provider headquartered in El Segundo, California. As a subsidiary of AT&T, it offers various systems including the Linear Data System, which receives linear data of stations, schedules, and programs to serve as guide data from various sources and publishes it to other systems. The Nonlinear Data System performs similar functions with non-linear data. Additionally, the Third-Party System enhances current systems by incorporating metadata from providers like Hulu and CBS. The automation project is an extension of the existing project, aimed at building an automation tool to boost productivity and minimize manual testing efforts. Automation test cases are crafted using CA LISA and Jenkins.
Clarify requirements by communicating with customers through meetings, calls, Skype, or emails.
Create, update, and execute test cases.
Conduct regression tests and verify bug fixes.
Provide daily and weekly reports to customers in the US.
Support and train new team members.
Access Linux server using MPutty and execute Linux commands.
Verify and validate databases on SQL Server using SQL queries.
Inspect XML/JSON files and read real-time log files.
Verify SOAP/REST API responses.
Develop a framework for the automation tool.
Validate automated test cases.
Collaborate onsite with FPT Slovakia developers for the automation project, including discussions to establish general structures for automation test cases and knowledge transfer from customers.
Follow the Agile Scrum model for project management, involving international team collaboration, sprint backlog creation, daily Scrum meetings, and conducting sprint reviews and retrospectives.
Execute and assess results of automated test cases using CA LISA and Jenkins.
Provide regular reports to customers and support new team members.
