Salesforce CPQ Implementation for Power Generators Distributor
The project aims to implement Salesforce CPQ to enhance the sales process from opportunity to quote for a leading company distributing power generators. These generators are complex bundled products consisting of a main engine and various components. The CPQ solution needs to integrate with their existing ERP system (Infor M3) to synchronize generator products, customers, and customer orders between CPQ and ERP. The project leverages Salesforce CPQ's Bundle Product feature to improve user experience in configuring products during the quoting process. Key implementations include a process from opportunity to quote for bundled products, an engineering support request flow with approval for configuring bundle products in a quote, a customized pricing framework with markup and discount mechanisms based on product segment, account type, region, specific customer, or product, and template development for quote generation. Additionally, it involves migrating product data from ERP to Salesforce with Dataloader.io and designing processes for data creation and updates from Salesforce to Infor M3 utilizing Infor M3 API, Salesforce Named Credentials, and External Services.
