Pod Foods is an online B2B food distributor created for the modern "good food" ecosystem. As a core team member, I am responsible for building and developing this system (podfoods.co). I work closely with the business team to consult and implement business ideas. Additionally, I am responsible for building and managing the backend team while providing support to the non-tech team.
Understand the business model and the purposes of features requested by the sales/marketing team. Provide suggestions related to both technology and business.
Work on engineering initiatives that expand the feature set, ensuring that no technical debt is introduced in the process.
Define and execute a plan for implementing specific features or maintaining/upgrading the internal system.
Adapt well to shifting priorities when necessary.
Facilitate communication between the tech team and the product team by asking clarifying questions if expectations are unclear.
Break down large tasks into smaller, actionable parts. Structure code to anticipate the required scale and maintenance. Focus on legibility when authoring and reviewing pull requests.
Strive to reduce technical debt while communicating with teammates about any significant refactoring efforts.
Manage people, drive the team forward, and optimize team performance.
